The presidency rotates between the parties that make up the Group.
In the general election of 1986, it has 1 deputy and 2 senators elected, and in the 1989 election, 1 senator and 1 deputy. It stood for the 1993 elections as the Canarial Coalition, winning 4 seats in Congress and 5 in the Senate.
