The House of regional representation. At the present time, it consists of 256 members, of whom 208 were elected in the general election (four representatives per province), while the remaining 48 are those directly nominated by the Autonomous Communities (1 for each Community and another one for every million inhabitants in the region concerned). Like the Congress of Deputies, its lifetime is four years.
