Setting
up of the Electronic Mail at the Embassy of Spain in Canberra, which was inaugurated by Their Majesties the King and
Queen of Spain on the 13th of June
1988.
Dr.
Pardos created the Program “Sí, Spain” at the National Capital Freenet in Ottawa, which was inaugurated on the 2nd of May 1994.
He
subsequently directed the Hypertext HTML version of the “Sí, Spain” program,
first Embassy ever beeing in the Internet,
on the 13th. April 1995.
Diplomatic
activities at the very first stages of “Sí, Spain” to counterbalance some of
the facts wrong-stated by the Canadian DoF during the fishing confrontation

He
organized, as Representative of the Presidency for the EU Council of Ministers,

In
February 1983, at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in London, Dr. Pardos put forward a Motion
banning the “Dumping of nuclear wastes in
the Oceans”, a motion which led to the present permanent Moratorium. The
antinuclear voting was supported by countries such as Canada, Argentina,
Norway, Philippines, Nigeria, New
Zealand, Portugal and others representing the five continents of the
Planet.
Subsequently,
Dr. Pardos conducted a research at McGill
University in Montreal, on the
management of nuclear wastes originated from the peaceful uses of nuclear
energy, in the Faculties of Medicine and Agriculture, and he published a book
on this subject. He is “visiting Professor” of McGill University.
During
1993 and 1994, he negotiated and founded, at the Department of Spanish and
Portuguese of the University of Toronto,
the Northern Telecom Chair for Iberoamerican Languages and Cultures, sponsored
by NT and the 21 Iberoamerican Ambassadors in Ottawa.
He was granted with the “Arbor Award” of the University of Toronto in 1994, for special services.
